A Saskatoon man has been found guilty of fraud after creating a GoFundMe page to raise money for the victims of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash. In 2018, Andrij Olesiuk created the page #PrayForHumboldt. Over $3500 dollars were raised through the page, although none of the funds ever made it to the team or those affected. Olesiuk’s sentencing is set for March 3rd.

A legitimate Humboldt Broncos GoFundMe page raised more than $15 million dollars.

The April 6th, 2018 crash killed 16 people and injured 13 others.
