Regina’s 9th Avenue Re-opens to Pedestrians and Picketers

By Devyn Gregoire Feb 9, 2020 | 7:00 AM

Regina Police say 9th Avenue North between Winnipeg and McDonald Streets is now open again to pedestrians and business-specific traffic.

RPS says this will allow for picketers in the Unifor/FCL labour dispute to picket closer to the gates of the Co-op Refinery. All other vehicle traffic is still being directed elsewhere.

The roadway was temporarily closed to all but business-related vehicles on Thursday night in order to remove illegal barricades at the refinery gates.
