It s not known if Premier Scott Moe will have Saskatchewan voters go to the polls in October or earlier. When the election is finally announced, Wexit Saskatchewan is looking to have its name on ballots across the province.
The party seeks to have official status for the election and are awaiting approval on it.
Whether they are or aren’t fielding candidates in the election, neither Premier Scott Moe or NDP leader Ryan Meili seem too concerned. However, Meili says if Wexit does run candidates and finds some success, you can put the blame squarely at the feet of Moe.
He s opened up this space of this alienation and pushing that idea that we might be better without Canada, Meili said. I hope people have no time for the Wexit Party, and that Saskatchewan people know that we are better off in Canada.
Moe isn’t worried about the possibility of Wexit Saskatchewan joining either.
That s not my job to worry about them, Moe said.
Wexit Saskatchewan has said if they are given official status for this election that the plan is to run candidates in all 61 ridings.
