W-W-C-F-L Suspends Team Practices to End of March

The coronavirus threat has prompted the board of the Western Women’s Canadian Football League to suspend team practices until March 31.

That includes the on-field operations of the defending champion Saskatoon Valkyries. The W-W-C-F-L made the move following a unanimous vote of their board on Sunday. But, the eight teams in the league are still planning on opening the regular-season on May 2…with work on a variety of contingency plans as well. Following is the news release from the league…
