It was anything but quiet in Estevan Monday morning.
A series of explosions occurred at Regens Metal on the city’s southeast outskirts sending people scrambling in a scenario that looked much worse than what it was.
Vickie Lowenberg works at a business close to where the explosions happened and says, they were loud. Loud enough, that she thought it was in her building.
Lowenberg’s son-in-law works at Regens Metal so she says it was a little scarier for her, but he was fine and was just driving into the business’ yard when he saw a fire had broken out and told people to get out. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire and damage to the building is under investigation.
