Safe Driving on the Long Weekend

By Gord Wiebe Sep 3, 2020 | 10:46 AM

As we head towards the long weekend, SGI has some safety tips to keep in mind.

First up – slow down. Driving faster can affect your control. And drivers should be mindful of slowing down in construction zones.

Second – drive sober.

Third – buckle up. In the year 2020, police still catch hundreds of drivers every month who aren’t wearing a seatbelt.

And finally – just drive. Don’t get distracted. Inattention is the leading cause of injury according to SGI. Most distracted driving tickets are for phone use.
