In March of last year, the Saskatchewan RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit launched an interprovincial investigation into a Saskatchewan-based group allegedly involved in the distribution of illicit cannabis and tobacco products.
The RCMP says illicit products from B.C. were being bought by a group in Saskatchewan and then exchanged for illicit tobacco products from Quebec.
Over 69 pounds of cannabis has been seized, over 5-thousand grams of shatter, almost 2.9-million cigarettes and over $573-thousand in cash.
Eight people have been arrested and 1 person is being issued a summons.
The 9 individuals are facing 64 charges in total including criminal code conspiracy offenses, and possessing property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking.
Six of the 9 are from Saskatchewan and 2 are from B.C.
They make their first court appearance in Regina next Thursday.

32-year-old Kyle Loubier of Regina, SK
37-year-old Louis Sebastian of Regina, SK
34-year-old Alicia Roberts of Regina, SK
36-year-old David Wilson of Regina, SK
