In just his second event back from a nine-month lay-off due to back injuries, the Weyburn product carded an eight under-par 64 Friday at this week’s P-G-A Tour event in the Dominican Republic. That was a 14-stroke improvement from Thursday’s opening round 78, leaving DeLaet with a 36-hole total of two-under 142…which is the current projected cut-off score. The afternoon half of the field is on the course. The clubhouse leader is American Hudson Swafford at 12-under 132 following a 67 Friday.
