NDP Leader Suggests Some Cutting of the PST

Using the Regina Bypass as a backdrop, the Saskatchewan New Democrat leader announced his party’s commitment to remove the provincial sales tax on construction labour.

They dub it the Sask-First plan to create good jobs and restart the post COVID economy.

Ryan Meili says the NDP is going to remove that tax and move forward with the Sask-First procurement policy for building roads, schools and hospitals using Saskatchewan workers and Saskatchewan companies.

Meili also referred to the Regina Bypass as an over-budget disaster that shut construction workers and companies out.
