Ferry Runs Come to an End

With rivers and lakes freezing, Saskatchewan’s ferries are dry-docked for the season. The Riverhurst Ferry was the last one running and shut down on December 14.
The province operates 12 ferries and one barge. The ferries typically run from April to November, but operations and scheduling depend on weather and freezing.
