By Vanese M. Ferguson Dec 23, 2020 | 6:35 AM

A Manitoba RCMP officer avoided a potentially life altering accident back on December 11th by pulling onto the shoulder of the road.  It was the Spruce Plains RCMP with a patrol car travelling down Highway 16 around 7:25 p.m. that Friday night when a vehicle came straight at him in the wrong lane of traffic.

The officer did a u-turn, hit the lights and sirens and pulled over the vehicle. While the traffic stop was underway, 9-1-1 also received two calls from people reporting almost being hit by a vehicle travelling in the wrong lane.

A 30 year old man from Minnedosa is charged with Impaired Operation, Refusal to Comply with a Breath Demand, along with Drive Without a Licence, Drive an Unregistered vehicle and Drive Without Insurance.
