As healthcare workers continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic on the front-lines, the Saskatchewan Health Authority have announced additional service disruptions.
The SHA says a disruption of obstetrical services to the Meadow Lake Hospital will commence immediately and will remain in effect until further notice. During the this time, patients requiring obstetrical services will be screened and redirected to Lloydminster Hospital or the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon. High risk patients will be sent to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon.
Also a temporary disruption to emergency and acute care services at the Arcola Health Centre went into effect Friday and will continue until 8 a.m. Saturday, January 30th.
Residents are asked to call 9-1-1 in an emergency or visit the emergency department in Kipling, Redvers, Weyburn or Estevan. Non-urgent health related questions can be directed to the provincial HealthLine by calling 8-1-1.
