There are 3 declared COVID-19 outbreaks and 2 suspected outbreaks at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre.
Declared are the 1st East and 1st West Medical Units and Intensive Care Unit; suspected are the 2nd West Obstetrics Unit and 2nd South Medicine and Pediatrics Unit.
Interim Director of Acute Care for the Yorkton area, Janna-Lea Yawney says healthcare staff and patients who have COVID-19 will be staying in the affected units to limit the spread of the virus.
To date, a total of 47 cases have been linked to the outbreaks, including 21 healthcare workers and 7 patients.
