Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

A man and a woman are facing drug related charges after a traffic stop on Sunday night.

At around 11 p.m. police say they pulled over a vehicle at Quebec Avenue and 33rd Street, due to the registered owner being on a suspended license. Upon further investigation police report the driver, a 41 year-old man, was breaching court orders and the passenger, a 34 year-old woman, was wanted on criminal warrants. Police allege also finding $1100 cash in plain view, 15 grams of methamphetamine, four grams of fentanyl and packaging materials consistent with drug trafficking.

Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl and breaching court orders. The woman also faces additional charges of possession of a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.
