Two People Arrested in Drug and Weapons Bust

Two people are facing drug trafficking-related charges following a traffic stop Wednesday night.
just before 11 o’clock, Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on a stolen black Ford Escape in the 400 block of Avenue R South. Two occupants were taken into custody without incident. Inside the vehicle, Police allegedly found bear spray, knives, prepackaged methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other evidence related to drug trafficking.
A 31-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man face drug and proceeds of crime charges. They are also facing numerous other charges including Breach of Release and weapons-related offences.
