Meadow Lake RCMP say that last Sunday around 5:00 a.m., they responded to multiple complaints of an individual using a metal pole to break windows at a residence on the 100 block of 7th Avenue West in the city.
They found a man in the area but he fled the scene. He was arrested shortly after.
Police allege the man had been carrying a bag, which he discarded. Officers say they later seized approximately 42 grams of suspected cocaine from that bag.
Twenty-six year old Brenden Yew of Waseca is charged with drug possession, resisting arrest, having possession of the proceeds of crime, and failing to comply with a release order.
He was also arrested on outstanding charges from Maidstone RCMP and Edmonton Police.
