La Ronge RCMP officers are investigating the alleged assault of two girls, 6 and 8 years old. Last Saturday, police were alerted about two injured girls at Bells Point on the Lac La Ronge First Nation. Initial investigation indicates the girls were victims of an assault.
The incident is said to have happened in a wooded area, and then the children sought help from a nearby home. The 6 and 8 year old were transported to hospital for treatment of their injuries. No arrests have been made and RCMP don’t believe there is any risk to the public.
