Saskatoon police say a man was arrested yesterday afternoon [wed] after reportedly pointing a firearm at people. Around 1:20, patrol members were sent to a weapons complaint at Avenue P and 21st Street. Police found their suspect crossing the street at Avenue N and 20th. He was believed to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody without incident. Saskatoon Police allege a sawed-off shotgun was located in a bag he was carrying. A 26-year-old man is facing eight firearms-related charges.
