The City of Regina has renamed Dewdney Pool and Park. They will now be known as Buffalo Meadows and a review on the possible renaming of Dewdney Avenue is underway.
Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty says the name change is a great step towards reconciliation.
Edgar Dewdney was an Indian Commissioner, the Lieutenant Governor of the Northwest Territories and instrumental in establishing Residential Schools.
