New Writer in Residence Chosen

The Saskatoon Public Library has announced Di Brandt will be the next Writer in Residence. The Winnipeg-based writer will begin meeting with writers remotely. She will have in-person events and consultations later in her residency; that’s subject to public health guidelines and reopening plans. Brandt is an award-winning writer who has published a number of acclaimed poetry collections as well as fiction, essays, translations, literary criticism, and multimedia works. The library says she has won several awards including the Foreword Gold Medal for Fiction.
