Regina Police Report Child Struck by Vehicle and Unlawful Confinement in Separate Incidents

No charges are being laid after a seven year old boy was struck by a vehicle in Regina Tuesday afternoon. Regina Police say the boy ran out from between parked cars and was struck by a vehicle that was likely travelling at less than 30 km/h. The boy’s injures appeared to be minor but he was taken to hospital for observation.

A 29 year-old Regina male is facing a number of charges in connection with a stolen auto incident from early Tuesday morning.
Just before three o’clock, a patrol sergeant in the area of 3rd Avenue and Argyle Street noted a stolen vehicle.  Police members made attempts to stop the vehicle, but the suspect kept driving.  During this time, police learned that a passenger in the vehicle was being held against her will.  When the vehicle slowed, the 38 year-old passenger jumped out. She was not injured.  The suspect was eventuality arrested.
Twenty-nine year-old George Tyrone Gambler faces several charges including Forcible Confinement and Flight from a Peace Officer.
