NDP Demands More Action from Province As Plans are Made for the Return to School

Opposition Leader Ryan Meili says Premier Scott Moe and his ministers recently ignored  recommendations made by Saskatchewan’s Medical Health Officers for a safe back-to-school and have taken no steps to mitigate the devastating impact of the fourth wave.

Meili says, “Scott Moe decided this pandemic was over, abdicating his responsibility to keep Saskatchewan people safe. The fact that we have students heading back to school with no clear plan to keep them safe is the direct result of Scott Moe’s failed leadership.”

The NDP want  COVID-19 vaccine mandates for all teachers and school staff before October 1: thresholds to trigger masking, testing, and remote learning protocols; in-school vaccination clinics; and clear and consistent information and direction from public health experts.
