The Prince Albert Police Service has officially sworn in Farica Prince as their new Deputy Chief. Police Chief Jonathan Bergen welcomed Deputy Chief Prince to the organization and thanked members of his administrative team during a ceremony Friday. Bergen says “I know you’re going to bring a different a new perspective from your other experiences , this will bring other insights to our team.” Prince has 20 years of policing experience with stops in Manitoba and Alberta.
Deputy Chief Prince comes from the Blood Tribe Police Service in Alberta where she held the role of Inspector in the Administrative Support Division. Prince began her policing career back in 2001 with the Dakota Ojibway Police Service in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation in Manitoba before joining the Blood Tribe Police Service in 2005. In 2008, she joined the training academy at the RCMP Depot in Regina. In 2011, she returned to the Blood Tribe Police Service. The PA Police Service appointed Prince to deputy chief following an extensive national search.
