A late Tuesday pursuit in Saskatoon led to the arrest of a man now charged with dangerous driving, evading police and possession of methamphetamine.

At about 10:45 p.m. on December 7, K-9 Unit officers attempted to pull over a truck in the 300 block of Avenue Q South.

When the driver didn’t stop, the K-9 Unit and patrol officers fell back and allowed the Air Support Unit to track the vehicle.

The A-S-U observed the truck stop in a parking lot in the 300 block of Avenue H South. The driver got out, hid clothing in a nearby back yard and fled on foot.

The K-9 Unit caught up with the 26-year-old near the intersection of 20th Street and Avenue H South where he was apprehended without incident. A subsequent search of the man found him to be in possession of methamphetamine.
