The Saskatchewan Health Authority says all SHA Long Term Care homes and affiliates in Saskatoon and area will move to Level 1 for family presence restrictions as of Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. A news release from the SHA says it’s because of increase community transmission of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
This will be reviewed in two weeks, and a decision to carry on or change the restrictions will be made at that time. Level 1 means that each resident can designate two consistent essential family or support persons, with only one present at a time indoors.
