Three people have been arrested by Saskatoon Police in connection to robbery on Wednesday night. Police say around 10:15, officers received a report of a vehicle theft in progress near Rusholme Road and Avenue S North. It was reported a cab driver was assaulted, had his vehicle stolen and then was hit by the vehicle. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Three suspects fled the scene.
With help from the Air Support Unit, the vehicle was located in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West. A high-risk stop was then conducted and the three people were taken into custody. The driver, a 30 year-old woman was found to be driving under the influence.
The woman is facing robbery and impaired driving charges among others.
A 37 year-old man and a24 year-old woman are charged with robbery.
