Arrests made and chainsaw seized

The Saskatoon Police Service says the Canine Unit was able to successfully track suspects Sunday night who were reportedly checking vehicles in the 700 block of Avenue K South and that they had a chainsaw.

The call came in at 11:45 p.m. and the two suspects were tracked down in the 800 block of Avenue M South.

A 28-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman face charges of Possession of Break-in Instruments and Possession of Stolen Property.

The Saskatoon Police Service Canine Unit said on social media that “#psdyanga assisted Patrol Officers with the safe arrest of a suspect armed with a chainsaw. One in custody.”
