Arrest made in recent Prince Albert homicide

Prince Albert Police have made an arrest in one of the two weekend homicides in that community.

A 15 year old boy from Prince Albert has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder in connection to the police call that came in just before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night from the 100 block of River Street West. It was a weapons complaint and the victim was taken to hospital seriously hurt. He succumbed to his injuries at hospital.

The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Barry Pruden.

The accused was in court this morning.

A second homicide had occurred earlier in the day when police responded to a report of a man having been shot in the 800 block of 11th Avenue East.

A 32 year old man succumbed to his injuries in hospital. There has been no arrests in that homicide investigation.
