The Kindersley, Rosetown and Biggar areas are under a tornado warning from Environment Canada, as of 6:30 Tuesday night, as well as a severe thunderstorm warning.
At 6:21 p.m., meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm that could possible produce a tornado.
At that time, it was about 10 kilometres east of Smiley and tracking east.
Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.
At the same time, there is a tornado watch for Lloydminster.
The Swift Current, Herbert, Cabri and Kyle areas are under a severe thunderstorm warning, and it’s a severe thunderstorm watch for further south, from the border with Alberta through to the Estevan and Weyburn areas.
