Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has met virtually with G7 Leaders. The leaders agreed to continue their support of Ukraine. A new Donor Coordination Platform has been created to coordinate support for Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction. Canada’s Ukraine Sovereignty Bond, has raised $500 million from individuals and institutions.
On climate change, the Leaders spoke of the importance of climate action. The Leaders also spoke about the progress made on a number of other G7 priorities in the last year, including on infrastructure, energy, food security, health, pandemic preparedness, and gender equality.
