Arrest following convenience store robbery

A 37-year-old man is charged with holding up a convenience store on Sunday morning.

Police says around 11:30, officers responded to a call on the 200 block of Pendygrasse Road. It was reported that a man entered the store, stole a cash box and hit the driver of a delivery truck before fleeing on foot.

Eyewitnesses directed police to a parking lot in the 100 block of Clancy Drive where a man carrying a cash box was arrested.

In addition to robbery, the man is also facing a charges of methamphetamine possession and breach of probation.
