Highway 16 at the Village of Waseca, west of Maidstone, was blocked for a few hours late last night during what was described as a serious ongoing RCMP investigation. Officers from multiple detachments were following a vehicle which fled from police. A spike belt was used, and the vehicle ultimately came to a stop.
Around 3 this morning, two people were taken into custody. Those are all the details at this point.
