A Yorkton Court of King’s Bench Judge has granted bail to Odelia and Nerissa Quewezance.

Justice Don Layh made the decision Monday morning. Both sisters have to abide by a number of bail conditions, while the federal Justice Department reviews their case.

Odelia and Nerissa were convicted of Second-Degree Murder in the 1993 stabbing death of 70-year-old Anthony Dolff, but both argued their convictions were wrongful.

The Justice Department started the review last year, and said there may be a reasonable basis to conclude that there was a miscarriage of justice.
