Health Canada is recalling Generac Portable Generators because of fire and burning hazards. The recalled generators can fail to vent adequately causing the tank to build up excess pressure and expel fuel when opened, posing fire and burn hazards.
To date, there have been no reports of this happening in Canada. In the United States, the company has had 27 reports and three incidents resulted in severe burns. If you have one of the model numbers below, contact Generac for a free repair kit.
