The final full moon of 2023 appeared on Christmas night. It will reach its peak Tuesday evening.
It is being called the “Christmas cold moon”. It the last full moon of the year and the longest.
It may have looked full as early as Sunday night and according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, will continue to appear for a few evenings after reaching maximum fullness, 6:33 p.m. on Tuesday.
