A former company bookkepper has been arrested and charged with four counts of fraud over five thousand dollars from that company.

Thirty-three-year-old Whitney Meacher of Moose Jaw was released on an undertaking and will appear in court on July 29. The Moose Jaw Police Service received a report in November, 2023 from the RCMP of a fraud incident that occurred in Moose Jaw during 2021 and 2022. The MJPS’ Criminal Investigation Section investigated the incident and, after obtaining a warrant, gathered bank records to support the allegation that Meacher had defrauded the victim’s company while she was employed as a bookkeeper. Anyone with further information is asked to contact the Moose Jaw Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
