The Saskatoon Fire Department was able to completely extinguish a garage fire in the 700 block of Avenue I South Tuesday morning.
According to an SFD news release, the call came in at 8:17 a.m. on September 17. Upon arrival, fire crews observed heavy flames and smoke coming from the roof of a detached garage. They were able to completely extinguish the blaze. There was no-one inside the garage at the time of the fire and all occupants of the nearby residence were safely evacuated. A fire investigator has been on the scene to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.
