Another round of multiple bear spray incidents

Police are investigating following several bear spray incidents. Around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday a security guard was bear sprayed at a business in the 3100 block of Preston Avenue South.

Around 8:30 p.m. officers responded to a robbery in progress in the 1700 block of Preston Avenue North where, when two women allegedly shoplifting, were confronted by security guards so they discharged bear spray..

About a half hour later police responded to a weapons call on Maxwell Crescent and found a man suffering from bear spray. He reported he was approached by a group of youth and bear sprayed.

Around 5:00 a.m. Thursday a man was bear sprayed in the 200 block of Langevin Crescent and just after 6:30 a.m. Thursday there was another injured person report where a man had been bear sprayed in the 800 block of 22nd Street West.

In all instances suspects fled and police are continuing to investigate.
