A more than 100-year-old weather record fell on Wednesday in Saskatchewan. Environment Canada says eight locations either exceeded or tied their daily maximum temperature record for February 4th. Prince Albert knocked down the oldest record when the mercury went to 6.0 degrees Celsius on Wednesday beating out the old record of 4.4 degrees set in 1925.
The hotspot in Saskatchewan yesterday was Maple Creek at 14.9 degrees. The hotspot in Canada was Lethbridge at 20.6 degrees. Saskatoon didn’t set a new record, but the daytime high was 4.2 degrees Celsius.
