A 17-year-old male was arrested following a mischief complaint in the 800 block of Confederation Drive on Saturday evening.
He matched the description of a suspect in a break-and-enter who had been climbing up a balcony. Several flower pots were broken and dropped from the balcony.
Once arrested, the youth began to resist and kicked a police officer that was trying to put him in a patrol car. A further search resulted in police finding a cannister of bear spray.
The 17-year-old has been charged with assaulting a peace officer, possession of a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.
