A 21 year-old man is in custody facing an assault with a weapon charge, after a bear mace incident on Friday. At 10:03 p.m police say they responded to the 700 block of Broadway Avenue to find two men who had been maced after a dispute over an alleged drug transaction.
Police say the suspects left in a vehicle but then collided with a parked vehicle nearby. The driver was arrested but a passenger fled the area and has not been located.
The driver was arrested for possession of bear mace and assault with a weapon.
Police say the victims and suspect are known to each other and are not overly cooperative.
