City Employee With COVID-19 Didn’t Have Close Contact with Public

The Recreation Facilities and Program Manager with the City of Saskatoon says an employee who tested positive for COVID-19 and worked at three different rec centres in the city, had no close contact with employees or members of the public.

CJWW News asked the city why one employee would work at three different locations in light of the pandemic. Officials says the majority of employees work out of the same Leisure Centres on a daily basis but in order to maintain programming they sometimes have to schedule staff at multiple Leisure Centres.

This individual worked at Lakewood Civic Centre, Saskatoon Field House and the Shaw Centre. The city believes the positive case is unlikely to be linked to transmission within the workplace.
