Trillion Dollar National Debt by Christmas

According to the Canadian Taxpayer Federation’s National Debt Clock, we are mere days away from being a country that is over a trillion dollars in debt. It could happen by Christmas day. Right now we are over 993 billion dollars in debt and the CTF says our national debt grows at a rate of over a billion dollars a day. The Federation says the federal Liberal government has taken the federal deficit from $19 billion to $381 billion in just nine months.
A report from the Macdonald-Laurier Institute condemns the federal government’s pandemic income support program, saying the overspending has indebted the country without helping those who need it most.
