A 24 year old man is charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Dangerous Driving after an incident around two o’clock Sunday afternoon where police spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
Patrol officers tried to conduct a traffic stop on Avenue T and 20th Street but the driver failed to stop. A tire deflation device was successfully deployed in two locations but the driver kept going; so, the Air Support Unit monitored the vehicle. It eventually stopped in the 1,000 block of Avenue B North and police say the driver ran off. He was found and arrested. He is in court Monday.
