Consuming Cannabis in an Idling Vehicle Leads to Charges

Corman Park Police says their officers were patrolling on Sunday afternoon through a motel parking lot south of Saskatoon when they say they came across a vehicle idling with two people inside consuming cannabis.

Corman Park Police say the driver performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test. A breath sample was provided into an approved screening device resulting in a fail. The driver was arrested and transported to the Saskatoon RCMP detachment for further testing and police say the two breath samples registered .13 and .12 (130mg% and 120mg% ).  Impaired is .08.

The vehicle was impounded for 30 days. The passenger was arrested on outstanding warrants. Both the passenger and driver were released with future court dates.
