A four year-old who is battling a rare brain tumor was honoured by the Saskatoon Police Service over the weekend.

In February Jett Reiss was diagnosed with a highly aggressive and inoperable tumor known as a DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) tumor, for which there is currently no cure.

On Friday night, a parade of dozens of police vehicles took to the streets near Jett’s home and police officers presented him with his very own police uniform and badge. According to the Saskatoon Police Service’s twitter Jett wants to be an officer just like his uncle, police say Jett already had the spirit of a warrior to fight and now he’s got the uniform to do it.

Due to the time needed to take off work to help get Jett get medical appointments a go-fund me page has been set up, with nearly $120,000 already being raised.
