All the weather warnings are ended for Saskatchewan. The massive number of road closures that came in Monday have all been removed.
SaskPower says they experienced a large number of outages as a result of the storm, ranging from Maple Creek to Prince Albert. A number of these communities were expected to be without power overnight, as conditions remained unsafe for crews to work in.
As of about 8:30 Monday night, there were about 130 outages resulting in 14,500 customers without power. Earlier in the day, as of 4:30 p.m., the Outage Centre had fielded over 9,000 calls since the onset of the storm.
Between 6 a.m. Monday and three o’clock this morning, there were powerful winds blowing. The peak wind gust in Saskatoon was 85 km/h. That was the weakest of 15 centres recorded and Swift Current saw the strongest gust at 120 km/h.
