It appears as though many provincial sports organizations, whose games are played outdoors, were caught off-guard by Tuesday’s announcement from the provincial government that allows them to begin competition with the introduction of Step 1 of the Re-Opening Road Map this Sunday.
Saskatoon Youth Soccer’s Program Coordinator Dan Kelly says they were “pleasantly surprised” with the news.
Kelly says the approximately 3,000 registered youth soccer players in the city will likely be starting six weeks of games on June 7.
