A 16-year member of the Prince Albert Police Service has been charged with one count of Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House following an investigation into an incident on April 16. Constable Darcy Bear was off-duty at the time.
The department says in a news release, On April 16, patrol officers responded to a call for service at a residence in the city. No details of what transpired have been given. However, the department says, following this incident, an investigation was started and the Public Complaints Commission was notified.
The officer was issued a 30-day suspension. After that, the member was reassigned to office duties.
The investigative file was reviewed by senior Crown officials and a charge was recommended.
Bear will make an appearance on July 14 at Prince Albert Provincial Court.
