Around 2:30 Tuesday morning, Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP responded to a report of an injured woman at a residence on Standing Buffalo First Nation. Police say she was the victim of an assault and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. RCMP arrested 22 year old Christopher Maple a short time later.
He is charged with one count of Attempted Murder. He will appear in court in Fort Qu’Appelle Thursday.
Police say he and the victim are known to each other.
The incident remains under investigation.
